So, I’m gonna throw another Christmas-y thing out there for ya – I can’t believe Christmas is next week – yikes!!
This pom-pom pine cone ornament is perfect to do with the kiddos to occupy those little hands for a bit while they are out on Christmas break. And these kid made ornaments may be the EASIEST ornaments EVER, my friends. Four materials, all of which you probably already have around the house, is all it takes to makes this super cute ornament. And if you are anything like us – you have a hoard of pine cones that were collected in the fall from your kiddos…pine cones that are SCREAMING “please decorate me” ;)
What you need to make them:
How to make them:
- With a small dish of white glue, dip the pom-poms, just a smidge, into the glue.
- Place the pom-poms into the pine cone scales.
- Tie & knot some twine to the top, then hang.
So, tomorrow is the last day for the kid-made ornaments series & you can still link up if you like. I’m in the process of also pinning all the linked up ornaments to our kid-made ornaments pin board too.
The link up will be open from December 1st until December 21st for all entries.
Make sure to pop by these other fabulous bloggers too, that are participating in this series.
You can see the schedule here.
Or, simply catch up on the weekly roundups…

Do you have to do anything to the pinecones ahead of time? I’ve heard of baking them to kill anything living (but it’s so darn cold out maybe that’s not an issue).
Melissa Klinker says
I didn’t Gina. But that’s a great idea though – I’ll have to keep that in mind for next year :) xx
