I love me some PIZZA! Well, who doesn’t I ask ya?!
We regularly have homemade pizza nights – the kids love it! I always try to get the kiddos involved in making meals, but making pizza is a kiddo favorite. For one, they can see the process of how it’s done, a great form of learning. And two, I find that they are more likely to eat it ALL, if they helped make it! Lots of oooohs and aaaahs usually puts a smile on their faces while they are shoveling it in :)
So, I got some of these yummy pizza crusts, Archer Farms fire-roasted thin square pizza crusts from Target, to be exact. They come two to a pack, and the thin crust is super yummy with a hint of smoky flavor (just a hint – cause I’m not a fan of the ol’ smoky flavor in, or on stuff). So if you are a fan of thin crust pizza (and not a fun-filled-fan of making things with yeast for that homemade taste) these are a must in your near future :)
Well, here’s how we made them – the combo of flavors that we are wild for & the yummy thin crust. But seriously yo, you can totally, of course, put your own spin on it, thin crust or not!
Let’s dive in, shall we?!
Jazz up your pizza night! Here's a yummy thin crust pizza with a hint of smoky flavor - topped with ground beef, green olives, green peppers, & mushrooms.
Ingredients
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 500° F.
- In a small bowl combine onion powder, garlic powder, fennel seeds, salt, & pepper. Add the ground beef to the spices and combine until spices are blended in.
- Transfer beef mixture to a medium skillet and cook until brown, and no longer pink. Once cooked, cover with foil & set aside.
- Using a pastry brush, spread tomato sauce evenly on both crusts, 1/4 cup for each pizza.
- For EACH crust, top with 2 oz mushrooms, 1/8 of bell peppers, 3/4 cup of mozzarella, and 1/2 lb ground beef (in that order). Followed by the remainder of bell peppers (approx. an 1/8 pepper per pizza), green olives, and mozzarella cheese (approx. 1/4 cup per pizza).
- Bake for 4-5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and the crust edges start to brown.

Oh, I will look for the crusts in Target! Thanks.
I love ground beef on my homemade pizza too. I think this is the first place I have seen someone else use it too.
